Spring Lunch - Wynn's Hotel, Dublin
We enjoyed lunch followed by an address from Dr Philip McGarry who talked about the important and historic Linen Hall Library, situated in central Belfast. Philip is the current president of the library, a former chair of the Alliance Party and a member of our association.
North South Symposium on Education and Culture
This was the third event in our exciting programme entitled 'A vision for the future of North-South co-operation? Strand 2 of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement- a generation on'. On 18 February at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin a symposium looked at health and the environment.
The guest speaker was Dr Judith Gillespie, CBE.
This was the second event in our exciting programme entitled 'A vision for the future of North-South co-operation? Strand 2 of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement- a generation on'. On 25 Nov. at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin a symposium will look at the economic effects of Strand 2.
The guest speaker at this lunch was Professor Evelyn Collins. Evelyn is the former chief executive of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland and current chair of the Parades Commission for Northern Ireland.
