Professor Christopher McCrudden CBE is the speaker for our Autumn Lunch, to be held in Wynn's Hotel, Dublin, at one pm on Saturday 24 October 2026.

Professor McCrudden will share his reflections on working to advance equality in Northern Ireland through the development and implementation of equality and anti-discrimination law over the last decades. 

Professor McCrudden is Emeritus Professor of Human Rights and Equality Law in the School of Law, Queen's University Belfast and L Bates Lea Global Law Professor at the University of Michigan Law School; a practising barrister at Blackstone Chambers London and has been called to the Northern Ireland Bar, the Irish Bar and the Bar of England and Wales. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and a Member of the Royal Irish Academy. He was awarded the Gold Medal for Social Sciences by the Royal Irish Academy in January 2026, for outstanding scholarly contribution and global leadership in human rights and law.
