
Pre-Christmas Lunch, Ulster Reform Club, Royal Avenue, Belfast
The Irish Association will host their pre-Christmas lunch in Belfast on 15 December. It will be held in the Ulster Reform Club, Royal Avenue, Belfast with drinks starting at 12.30 and a buffet lunch at 1.00. It is important that all attending should let us know beforehand so the club can cater for our numbers. The cost of lunch will be £20. Please see below ways to register and pay.
After lunch Professor Brian M. Walker, President, The Irish Association will give a talk on the foundation of the club in 1885. At present the club has been celebrating its 140th anniversary. Plans for the club commenced in 1880, its doors opened on the first day of 1885 and the formal opening of the club by the Marquis of Hartington occurred on 5 November 1885. This very impressive building stood at the top of the newly constructed Royal Avenue.

We have been asked to observe the dress code of the club. Jackets are mandatory but ties are no longer essential.
